This update is part of our ongoing efforts to improve the app and expand its services, gradually building a digital hub that brings together different aspects of life in Tangier, from everyday services and local information to culture and entertainment.

A New Identity Inspired by Tangier and Morocco

Version 2 introduces a new logo inspired by the Caves of Hercules, one of Tangier's most iconic landmarks, along with a refreshed color palette combining blue, representing Tangier, with red and green, inspired by the Moroccan flag.

This visual evolution reflects Tanja United's direction: moving beyond an app dedicated to individual services and working toward a comprehensive digital platform for Tangier.

As the city continues to develop through major projects and prepares to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, we aim to keep pace with this transformation on the digital side, providing useful services and experiences for Tangier's residents and visitors.

Tanja United Games: A New Home for Games

With this release, we're introducing Tanja United Games, a new space dedicated to bringing familiar games from our local culture to mobile devices with a modern and enjoyable experience.

We've chosen to focus on the fun of playing, without some of the frustrating mechanics commonly found in mobile games, such as frequent advertisements, virtual currency systems, or progression levels that get in the way of enjoying the game.

Free games, no ads, no complicated systems. Just games you can enjoy anytime.

Starting with Jben Gera3 (Hez 2)

Our first game is Jben Gera3, also known as Hez 2, a classic card game widely played in Morocco using the traditional Moroccan Carta deck.

We've worked to preserve the game's familiar rules and character while introducing a simple interface and smooth gameplay designed for mobile devices.

The game works entirely offline, allowing you to play without an internet connection. You can also continue listening to music from Tanja United Music while playing, without having to switch between sections of the app.

Jben Gera3 is just the beginning. We plan to gradually introduce more locally inspired games in future updates.

Tanja United Music: More Freedom to Listen Your Way

Tanja United Music continues to evolve, bringing together a growing collection of music from artists connected to Tangier.

Version 2 introduces two new features:

Music Search

You can now search for tracks, albums, and artists directly within Tanja United Music, making it easier to find songs and explore artists' music collections.

Personal Playlists

You can now create your own playlists, add the tracks you love, and organize your music according to your preferences.

With these additions, we aim to make listening more flexible while continuing to celebrate Tangier's music and introduce listeners to the work of local artists.

Continuing to Build Tanja United for Tangier

Since launching Tanja United, we've continued adding services and experiences, including the immersive exploration of Tangier's Grand Stadium, public transport maps, beaches, traffic information, duty pharmacies, Ittihad Tanger, music, and art.

While these sections serve different purposes, they share one goal: making information and services related to Tangier easier to access by bringing them together in a single app.

With Version 2, we're continuing to expand the project into new areas while preserving what has defined Tanja United from the beginning:

Delivering high-quality digital experiences that meet international standards, bringing together different aspects of life in Tangier on one platform, and contributing to the city's position as a digital hub.

This release isn't the end of a chapter, but another step in the development of Tanja United. We still have many ideas and services that we hope to introduce gradually.
